Special Session 12:
Low Computational Complexity Digital Filter Design
ORGANIZERS
Ya Jun Yu, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
SYNOPSIS
Digital filters are essential elements of many signal processing systems and everyday electronics such as radios, cell-phones and biomedical devices. The increasing demand for high speed data connections and communications gives rise to the renewed interests in low computational complexity digital filter design techniques. Many new applications and services require the support of digital filters, such as the future wireless-enabled multifunctional portable device, the wearable/implantable biomedical devices, etc. These new requirements are the great motivations for researchers in the field of signal processing and circuits to work together to take advantage of modern deeper sub-micron CMOS.
This special session on Low Computational Complexity Digital Filter Design aims to collect papers dealing with recent advances on digital filter solutions for both today and future applications. Our goal is to provide our readers a snapshot of current state of the art as well as other important aspects of the field. Topics of interest cover a broad spectrum pertinent to the design of low computational complexity digital filters.
